LMU Medicine comprises the LMU University Hospital, which operates at two sites on the City Center Campus and the Großhadern Campus, and the Medical Faculty of Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich, including its preclinical and clinical-theoretical institutes. More medical students are trained here than anywhere else in Germany. No other University Medicine is funded through all eight German Health Research Centres (DZG) of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Through its outstanding scientific and academic achievements, LMU Medicine contributes greatly to the overall Status of Excellence of LMU.
